Small reductions in uptime obviously cause significant revenue losses.

This has become increasingly important due to the prolonged restart durations of mature assets following even a short shutdown.

Production trips are a major environmental challenge due to the associated flaring and restart instability that invariably occurs to produced water systems. High B,S & W readings are also a common occurrence on restart as operations personnel struggle to maintain high quality produced water for overboard discharge.

Core adopts a methodical and systematic approach to resolving any causes of shutdowns to ensure that they are eliminated. We have particular expertise in solving instability problems that Operations personnel have learned to "work around" at a sub optimal level.

After Safety and Environment, uptime is the primary concern of Operations Management and further process optimisation is generally only considered once confidence in the reliability of the plant has been achieved.
