Gas Treatment

Gas Treatment facilities on offshore platforms generally contain glycol systems for gas dehydration. These systems have a number of commonly encountered problems that reduce efficiency, stability or uptime. These can usually be solved quickly.

NGL recovery, cold plants and H2S removal (such as amine) systems are less common systems offshore although can be problematical. This is usually due to the highly energy efficient or "looping" design that make the plant interactive and sensitive to control.

Turbo expanders are uncommon offshore although their installation makes a significant impact on the efficient operation of the gas systems. Core personnel have experience in the design and optimisation of Joule Thompson and Turbo Expander control system design and optimisation.

Core personnel have extensive experience of optimisation, troubleshooting and process optimisation of gas treatment systems and are able to offer practical solutions to these problems.
